世界上最长的吊桥

明石海峡大桥位于日本关西地区，地处桥梁位于本州侧神户市垂水渠和淡路岛侧的津名群淡路町之间的明石海峡上，途径该桥的主要道路为神户-淡路-鸣门快速道路，也是本州四国联络道路中的组成部分之一。

明石海峡大桥主要由主梁、两座桥塔、缆索、锚碇、引桥及其各立交匝道组成，全桥路段呈西南至东北方向布置。大桥全长3910米，采用（960+1991+960）的跨径布置，其中，主跨1990米，宽30米。大桥共用290根钢束形成直径为1.122米钢缆，钢丝直径直径为5.23毫米，拉伸强度为1800兆帕；钢缆所用钢丝总长约30万千克，总用钢量为5.77万吨。

The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is located in the Kansai region of Japan. The bridge is located on the Akashi Strait between the Taisui Canal of Kobe City on the Honshu side and the Awaji Town of the Tsuna Group on the Awaji Island side. The main road passing through the bridge is Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway , and is also one of the components of the Honshu-Shikoku Link Road.

The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is mainly composed of the main girder, two bridge towers, cables, anchorages, approach bridges and their respective interchange ramps. The entire bridge section is arranged in the southwest to northeast direction. The bridge has a total length of 3910 meters and adopts a span arrangement of (960+1991+960), of which the main span is 1990 meters and the width is 30 meters. The bridge shares 290 steel bundles to form a steel cable with a diameter of 1.122 meters. The diameter of the steel wire is 5.23 mm in diameter and the tensile strength is 1,800 MPa. The total length of the steel wire used in the steel cable is about 300,000 kilograms, and the total steel consumption is 57,700 tons.
